Situated close to the Blyde River Canyon, Cybele Forest Lodge accommodates a maximum of 28 people in individually decorated suites, cottages and studios. All suites have their own private swimming pools and all the cottages and suites have romantic log fireplaces.
If total privacy is what you are looking for, stay at one of the paddock suites situated with a stunning view over the mountains, forests and meadows. These spacious thatched suites offer great comfort and the ultimate in luxury accommodation with their own generously proportioned swimming pool. The main house is a relaxing place to read a book, browse through a magazine or to enjoy a drink before sampling the Lodge's exquisite cuisine.
The Lodge has its own riding stables with a groom who will escort you on your ride at whatever pace you choose. Enjoy wonderful walks down to the river through the forest where wild bushbuck live in the thickets or along the riverbank to a waterfall. This is a birdwatcher's delight and many different varieties can be seen – from colourful sunbirds and kingfishers to purple-crested louries. You can also try your hand at catching some plump rainbow trout from the river, stocked for the use of Cybele's guests.
