SABI SABI SELATI LODGE
- Luxurious game lodge
- Eight exclusive thatched suites
- Delicious home-cooked cuisine
- Sparkling swimming pool
Situated in the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve bordering Kruger National Park, the intimate Selati Lodge is furnished with an historic railway theme and 19th century charm, meticulously created as an authentic home in the bush.
The railway theme extends from original steam engine name plates, signals and other memorabilia in the lounge, to collector's pieces in each room and shunter's lamps lighting the way to your suite. Originally created without electricity to preserve the ambience, Selati Lodge now has overhead fans and air-conditioning, while the Lodge is still lit at night by the gentle flicker of oil lamps, the warm glow of fires and the spectacular canopy of the Southern night sky.
The Lodge features a dining veranda, bar facilities, swimming pool, lounge and telephone/fax facilities. Just eight luxurious thatched suites, each with en suite bathroom and private alfresco shower, blend perfectly into the surrounding bush, and comprise dressing room, hairdryers, in-room dining and lounge area, safes and telephone. Home-cooked cuisine is served on decks built over the riverbed, in the open-air boma or in the farmhouse kitchen.
Selati Lodge's premier accommodation is the sumptuous Ivory presidential suite. It offers colonial grandeur in the form of original antiques, a draped four-poster bed, private terrace, full bar facilities, in-room dining and fireplace. The magnificent en suite bathroom is complete with a Persian carpet and antique chaise-longue and the separate dressing room has an antique wardrobe and dressing table. The Ivory suite also offers private safaris, pool and personal attendant.
