Puku Ridge Camp allows its guests to revel in the abundance of wildlife and the comforts of a traditional old-world safari camp. Named for the elusive puku antelope, which never strays far from water, this beautiful camp among the trees overlooks a sweeping expanse of the fertile Kakumbi dambo. Puku Ridge is an intimate camp, built unobtrusively close to the wild. Each of the six comfortably furnished safari tents boasts an ensuite bathroom which includes an outdoor shower. Well-lit pathways connect the tents to the main bar and sitting room. Puku Ridge inhabits a remote world of its own, watching the ancient patterns of life and survival while treating its visitors to enjoyably civilised hospitality. The diverse wildlife along the dambo offers great opportunities for photography, whether you choose to explore on foot with a keen-eyed guide, or range further a field in a safari vehicle. Puku Ridge Camp offers game drives in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles, driven by a professional guide. Night game drives enable guests to see nocturnal animals such as the stealthy leopard and wily hyena. Water activities include mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions.
