The Victoria Falls Hotel came into its own in 1904 when the planned Cape to Cairo railway reached the Victoria Falls. The arrival of the railroad meant that the building of the Victoria Falls Hotel could begin, sparking off an era that has charmed guests for nearly 100 years.
Guests are assured of a genuinely warm welcome which, coupled with its old world charm, provides a memorable stay in what is undoubtedly one of the few remaining hotels of its kind in the world. The Hotel has 10 suites, 109 standard rooms in the main building and 63 deluxe rooms in both the main building and in the new Stable Wing. The deluxe rooms are larger than the standard rooms and have a superior view or a special feature such as a separate shower. In general, deluxe rooms have a mini-bar, large flower arrangement, additional toiletries and a hairdryer. All the bedrooms have been refurbished to provide a perfect balance of modern amenities without losing the grand Edwardian architecture and pure graciousness.
Set in acres of lush lawns and exotic flora, the Hotel is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Victoria Falls town and a ten-minute walk along the Hotel’s private path from the actual Falls.
