Hugging a crest of a large hill, with expansive views of uninterrupted plains, is the beautiful Little Ongava. Situated on a private concession, guests can enjoy unrivalled privacy with only three spacious suites, each with a gracious ensuite bathroom (with an outdoor shower, which offers lovely views of a nearby waterhole) a private plunge pool and a sala. Little Ongava's entertainment area lends itself to relaxed, stylish dining as guests can enjoy delightful menus served outdoors, under thatch. A kaleidoscope of African wildlife can be seen at many of the waterholes in the park as well as resident white and black rhino and a healthy predator population. Guests share a dedicated guide, ensuring the optimum nature experience at one of Africa's great wilderness destinations. Birdlife is flourishing in the park, with ostrich and raptors in abundance. Endemic species include the short-toed rock thrush, Hautlaub's francolin, rockrunner, Rüppell's parrot, white-tailed shrike and chestnut weaver. A highlight at Ongava is that it is one of the few private game reserves in southern Africa where guests have a chance of seeing both black and white rhino. Guests can track white rhino on foot, with an armed guide - this is a highlight not to be missed.
