OLIVER'S CAMP

- Home to large herds of elephants & other large mammals including lion & buffalo
- 5 luxury, en suite tents ensure exclusivity and personalized service
- Enjoy nature walks, game drives and fly camping; with all the comforts of home
Oliver’s Camp is located in a remote area of the park, in the middle of Tarangire's unspoilt wilderness zone. The camp is ideally placed to access the yearly migrations of wildlife throughout the ecosystem, and to view the impressive concentrations at waterholes for a 6-7 month season each year. Being in the wilderness zone allows the camp the freedom to offer walking excursions close to the camp, as well as longer walking adventures in the surrounding endless woodlands and plains habitat. Off road driving in open vehicles is another privilege enjoyed by guests in this area, something that is not readily available in other National Parks in Northern Tanzania. Only 5 guest tents are available to ensure the feeling of absolute exclusivity. Solid wooden furniture, beautiful cloth and practical en suite facilities are expertly maintained in each tent. An intimate restaurant on-site serves delicious food and drinks to nourish travelers after a long day in the African bush.
Fly camping in the wilderness areas of Tarangire national park is a perfect compliment to a longer stay at Base camp. The freedom of movement, the intimacy of the light camp and the thrill of being so close to nature is the highlight of many guests’ visits. The fly camp is light enough to move easily and strike quickly, but still retains the everyday luxuries that characterise Oliver’s Camp – hot showers, comfortable bedding and cold refreshments served with gourmet food.
