- 8 spacious, well-furnished bandas with private verandahs
- Safari walks, game drives and boat trips
- Tailored service to meet each guests unique needs
Beho Beho was the first camp to be positioned in the cooler highlands of The Selous Reserve in order to enjoy the 'cooling breezes' from which its name derives. Beho Beho has created the true essence of a safari retreat, taking the best of each safari and blending it into one remarkable experience. Beho Beho truly is a luxurious base camp from which to explore on foot, by boat or by open safari cruiser, the splendours of one of the largest game preserves in the world.
The camp has 8 individual, very spacious Bandas, (stone built and palm thatched cottages) furnished with king-sized beds, Zanzibari day beds, writing desks and comfortable furniture. The front of the banda is completely open and extends on to a spacious verandah. The banda can be secured for the night with tented curtains or left open as desired. Each banda has a separate dressing room leading into an en suite bathroom with twin basins, high flush WC and an open-air shower.
Meals are a moveable feast and are not confined to the formal dining area. There are several lookouts where breakfast and lunch are served and, of course, areas for dining under the stars. Bush Breakfasts and picnics are also arranged for longer safaris. A swimming pool offers magnificent views along the Kipalala valley and there are many areas offering private sunbathing or quiet relaxation in the shade. Guests can also enjoy a visit to the hot sulphur springs, Maji Moto, where a swim in the deep natural pools can soothe the soul and refresh the body.
