Sabora Tented Camp is located on the vast Sabora Plains with spectacular views of the savannah. The spacious air conditioned tents, with a lounge library, are gracefully decorated with rich fabrics, glorious antiques, Persian rugs and campaign furniture all coming together to recreate the style so familiar to those famous African adventurers of old.
Sabora features six luxurious en suite tents. All tents have a bath, open air shower, reading area, deck with Swarovski spotting scope and a personal bar and fridge. The main camp areas offer a dining room; bar lounge with satellite television; DVD player and library; Playstation and board games; a spacious, covered viewing deck overlooking the Serengeti plains; and The Trading Store. A heated plunge pool and Jacuzzi is located alongside the deck area where guests can put their feet up and relax in the warmth of the African sun. A wide selection of fine wines, champagnes, cognacs, cigarettes and cigars are also available, ensuring a stay at the camp provides guests with every comfort imaginable.
The camp offers a spa featuring two therapy rooms for treatments, but guests are also more than welcome to unwind while enjoying a massage, or other treatments, in their own tent. A unique feature available to guests is the Equestrian Centre at nearby Singita Sasakwa Lodge, which is home to 16 horses. All activities are led by professional, fully qualified horse guides. For those wanting to try something different, a selection of compound and recurve bows are available, together with targets, for archery practice on the plains. For the more sporty types, why not work up a sweat on the clay tennis court, made with termite mound clay. Other guided activities include exciting game drives in open vehicles, safari walks, mountain biking and spectacular hot air balloon flights where the surrounding area can be seen from an entirely new perspective (hot air ballooning available at an additional cost). At Sabora Tented camp, there truly is something for everyone.
