Muchenje Safari Lodge borders the renowned Chobe National Park and is set on an escarpment edge. It has been designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking views over the Caprivi Strip.
Muchenje accommodates 20 guests in twin-bedded thatched chalets, all with en suite facilities and private balconies providing unique views. Great care has been given to furnishing the chalets to create a truly African ‘ambience’.
Each chalet is equipped with mosquito nets, overhead fan and power points.
The thatched main lodge includes a dining area, lounge, bar and game-viewing platform overlooking a waterhole. The Lodge’s swimming pool, built amongst natural rock formations, takes full advantage of the African vista and provides a tranquil setting for guests to relax in during the heat of the day.
Activities include a boat cruise on the Chobe River and game drives in open safari vehicles into Chobe National Park. Night drives and nature walks, accompanied by experienced guides, are conducted outside the park. For those who are interested in local culture, an excursion to a nearby village offers an insight into the traditional way of tribal life. As this is an owner-run lodge the emphasis is on offering guests a personalised service and flexibility when it comes to the range of activities on offer.
