Nitani is situated in the 75,000 hectare Northern Tuli Game Reserve located in the eastern region of Botswana. The Reserve will form part of the new Frontier Park linking Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Built 2 metres above the ground on the banks of the perennial Majali River, the lodge allows wildlife to move freely through the camp while still ensuring the safety of all its guests.
Guests at Nitani will become attuned to a world that is increasingly rare – one that is unspoilt by the visual and aural pollution of the modern world. Human impact has been minimised as much as possible through careful architecture and environmentally friendly technology. This is certainly no zoo in the bush; the animals are not vehicle-habituated and the game viewing is as non-intrusive as possible. On a night drive, for example, all spotlights and vehicle lights are red filtered for minimum discomfort to the animals.
There are only five suites at Nitani Lodge – each with its own plunge pool and spectacular views of the bush and nearby water holes. Nitani provides an individualised experience; nothing here is regimented or structured and we do everything in our power to ensure that your stay is spectacular. If guests have a specific interest in astronomy, birds, butterflies, bugs, botany, archaeology, geography or any other of the natural sciences, our resident ecologist will be delighted to share his knowledge with you.
Meals are prepared by an internationally renowned chef who cooks in consultation with each guest, creating individualised menus, ensuring that the camp can easily cater for any dietary preferences. For those feeling a little wound-up, why not be pampered in our wellness centre, where a trained beauty therapist will rid you of all stresses and strains of modern day life.
