A descriptive Damara name, meaning: "Place of Camel Thorns, abounding with Candle-Pod Acacias", GocheGanas is located a mere 29km south east from Windhoek, and situated on a hilltop overlooking a spectacular landscape. This luxurious Lodge offers a unique combination of Wildlife, Nature and Wellness experiences.
The Wellness Village boasts state of the art spa facilities, as well as a heated indoor pool, cave sauna and gym equipment. A variety of wellness treatment packages and massages are also offered. Game abounds on the GocheGanas Nature Reserve, with 21 different large game species totaling approximately 1,800 animals roaming across the reserve. Early morning and late afternoon game drives remain a highlight for many visitors. Accommodation consists of 15 spacious, elegant chalets with private terrace or a private timber deck and an en-suite bathroom equipped with bath and indoor or outdoor shower (some under a skylight) and separate toilet.
GocheGanas offers a range of dining options to suit each guest’s unique tastes. The Hill Top Restaurant offers spectacular views over the plains of the Reserve with a Menu featuring a range of cuisine including traditional Namibian food as well as a special Wellness choice. Alternatively, the traditional boma offers a truly “back-to-nature” experience under the stars in a relaxed and romantic setting. The Toko Bar With its stunning 360 degree view over the entire GocheGanas is the place for an aperitif or after dinner drinks.
