SKELETON COAST SAFARIS
- Specialise in introducing visitors to the undeveloped & remote areas of Namibia

- Game drives allow guests to experience the real Namibia up-close

A major feature of the safaris is the use of the aircraft as a “safari vehicle”. Flights provide outstanding bird's-eye views of shipwreck remains along the coast, diverse and ever-changing geological formations and the refuges of desert-dwelling animals such as the endangered black rhino and desert-adapted elephant. Guests are also taken on excursions by Land Rover to introduce them to the scenic and ecological aspects of the environment with its wide diversity of flora and fauna. Highlights include the desolate coast with its roaring dunes, amazing rock formations, ancient Bushman rock engravings and visits to a settlement of the nomadic Himba people, who still live and dress according to ancient customs and traditions
Accommodation consists of small but comfortable igloo tents with en-suite bucket showers and chemical toilets, making it unnecessary for guests to go outside during the night. Ablution facilities with flush toilets and basins are also available near the tents. Guests are accommodated in 3 exclusive, privately owned, fully equipped tented camps – a different one for each night of the safari. The camps are comfortable and serve all basic needs, and each is situated in a spot carefully chosen for its unique beauty. All food, including fresh fruit and salad, soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, wine and a wide assortment of other alcoholic beverages are supplied.
