Ngong House is a unique experience – ultimate luxury in the inimitable setting of treehouse accommodation. Four poster beds, crisp linen and exquisite, gourmet food are just the beginning - the main house and each treehouse also have fully stocked bars. The evenings start with sundowners on your verandah at tree level, from where you can watch the breathtaking sunsets over the Ngongs Hills. Nature lovers can enjoy a large variety of birds feeding from the birdfeeder hanging in front of each treehouse and, after sunset, drinks are served with the other guests around the camp fire under an acacia tree by the swimming pool.
Ngong House has a reputation of serving exquisite food prepared from only the finest local ingredients -game meat, fresh lake fish, seafood flown in from the Indian Ocean , all prepared with a large variety of fresh vegetables, in a tasty yet healthy blend of flavours. Built entirely from wood the treehouses are on two levels with a bedroom area upstairs and a living area on the lower floor. They are raised 15 ft from the ground to gain an uninterrupted view of the Ngong Hills over unspoiled bush and have grass roofs made in the traditional African way. Large four poster beds grace the upper-level bedroom area, promising a luxurious night’s sleep. On the lower level there is a comfortable sitting area and a dining table enabling honeymooners to share an intimate four course, candle-lit dinner.
Ngong House is ideally situated to visit many of Kenya's best attractions: Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, wonderful golf courses and the exciting market in down town Nairobi to name but a few. The lodge also has four wheel drive vehicles for game drive purposes and welcomes guests to enjoy fascinating nature walks, especially to visit the Giraffe Center - home of the endangered Rothchild Giraffe.
