BEACH LODGE
- Located directly on the golden Namibian beachfront.
- Breathtaking views accompanied with a uniquely nautical atmosphere.
- Self-catering with full amenities and privacy.
- Conveniently located 5km from Swakopmund, which offers a very wide variety of activities and entertainment.
Nestled amongst the uniquely golden shores of Africa, rests the only B&B establishment on the Namibian coastline. ‘The Beach Lodge’, so aptly named, is perfectly positioned directly on the beach, with only lush and abundant garden to separate itself from the guests. Long walks and valiant swims offer Beach Lodge patrons a peaceful getaway with uniquely romantic surroundings. On perfect days, loungers and umbrellas are set out on the lawn and beach for guests to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the warm sun.
The nautical theme of the accommodation, with portholes for windows and the left wing resembling the bow of a stranded ship, the Beach Lodge is able to add to the beauty of the surroundings. The rooms are luxuriously comfortable and private, even though self-catering. Each suite has a sea view with patio doors to the lawn or balcony, and has many amenities and conveniences.
Although the lodge does not have the capacity, the town of Swakopmund and its surrounds offers a very wide variety of activities, including: Tandem Skydiving; Ballooning; Quad-biking; Living Desert Tours; Welwitschia and Moon Landscape Tours; Paintball; Dolphin Cruises; Sandboarding; Scenic Flights; Township and Cultural Tours; City Tours; and even Birding Tours. All information and prices are available at lodge reception.
The Beach Lodge is very conveniently situated about 5km from the town’s centre. They do not offer a shuttle service but can recommend reliable taxi services to guests to get around the town.
Sunsets are spectacular at the Beach Lodge. Once the sun has disappeared beyond the horizon the beach is lit, which creates a tranquil mood accentuated by the roar of the Atlantic. Nothing on earth beats this lullaby.
