Roggeland Country House is an eighteenth-century Cape Dutch masterpiece and the farmhouse is a national monument. The exclusive hotel accommodates 21 people in spacious Cape-style bedrooms with sizeable en suite bathrooms, each with a unique character. Every room has a large double bed or optional twin beds, 'riempie' reed ceilings and deep casement windows with wooden shutters, as well as handmade linen, down duvets and ceiling fans.
Guests are treated to wine and cuisine carefully selected daily, reflecting the produce of the region. Relax at the pool, visit the nearby rose farms or stroll through Paarl – one of the oldest towns in South Africa with its wealth of historic buildings and glistening granite mountain. The pottery, carpet-weaving and art studios are sources for authentic African gifts.
