Situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, Hluhluwe River Lodge commands a spectacular view of the Hluhluwe River floodplain and False Bay. The famous Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park is a mere thirty-minute drive from the Lodge.
Twelve luxurious thatched chalets are dotted around a magnificent indigenous garden, each with its own viewing deck. There are eight standard double chalets, two family chalets and two honeymoon chalets with a Victorian style ball-and-claw bath leading out onto a private viewing deck with beautiful bushveld view. There is also a main deck with chairs and tables overlooking the Sand Forest valley. The central main lodge consists of a separate lounge, dining room, pub and outside boma where meals are served under the African stars. There is a network of well-lit paths connecting the rooms to the main lodge.
A secluded swimming pool is set in a tranquil garden. The library is well stocked with a variety of books on local fauna and flora and there is also a satellite TV in the bar for those big sporting events that you just can't miss.
