Situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, Thanda Private Game Reserve has been rehabilitated to its original state – alien plants have been removed and flora indigenous to the area has been able to thrive. Animal species that roamed freely in the days gone past have been reintroduced to reestablish the natural equilibrium, offering guests the opportunity to see not only the Big Five but also other species endemic to the area.
The nine luxurious bush villas offer pure indulgence. Each spacious bush villa has a private splash pool and viewing deck, sala (open elevated viewing platform with lounging cushions), lounge, fireplace, and a full bathroom with inside and outside shower. The private bomas offer guests absolute privacy should they so wish, and a private game ranger and safari vehicle is available on request.
The Lodge also features a lounge, library, dining room, boma, dining deck, wine cellar, cigar bar, fully equipped business centre, curio shop, wellness centre and viewing decks overlooking tranquil water features.
