JACI'S TREE LODGE
- Deluxe game lodge
- Malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve
- Just eight unique ‘tree houses’
- Exciting game-drives
Jaci's Tree Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, boasting 76 000 hectares (187 796 acres) of 'Big Five' territory. The Lodge comprises just eight spacious ‘tree houses’ constructed amongst the riverine forest on stilts – up to four metres (13 feet) from the ground, and built utilising a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors.
An open plan, en suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor shower allows you to enjoy your forest surrounds. After your morning game-drive, relax on the decks or wander to the forest pool to cool off. Raised wooden walkways connect with the extraordinary main lodge and its generous facilities.
On your early morning or late afternoon/evening game-drive you can expect to see wild dog, both black and white rhino, extensive plains game, including sable, gemsbok, springbok and giraffe, as well as over 340 species of birds. Stop for sundowners on the afternoon game-drive to witness an African sunset and enjoy the tranquillity of the bush as the transition from day to night takes place. Enjoy unique dinners in the raised boma under a canopy of giant tamboti and leadwood trees.
