ABOUT MADAGASCAR
You can get around Madagascar by road, air, water and rail. Many of the main roads are either paved or are in the process of being paved. Not all roads are in the best condition.
Taxis remain a reasonable option. They do not have meters, and it is advisable to agree on a set price before using this service. Most city taxis operate at a set rate.
Cars (and 4WD vehicles) can also been hired. It is recommended that you take a chauffeur (guide) due to road conditions.
Scheduled flights: Air Madagascar & Inter Air fly regularly between Antananarivo and Johannesburg. Flight duration is three hours. Air Madagascar serves 60 domestic airports and the best way to get around the country is to fly from point to point. Where there are no domestic flights, we recommend a chauffer transfer.
Escorted (chauffer) Tours: We will tailor-make your itinerary and arrange all excursions and transport. Self-drive: A chauffeur (guide) is recommended due road conditions.
