MAURITIUS - SAFARIS, TOURS AND TRAVEL
Buses are a common, inexpensive and easy way to get around the island. Taxis are also available. However meters are not always switched on, so it is advisable to negotiate a price beforehand.
ABOUT MAURITIUS
Bicycles, scooters, boats and cars can be hired for exploring the island at a leisurely pace. Driving is on the left hand side of the road, and most of the classified roads are tarred.
Scheduled flights: daily from Johannesburg and on selected days from Cape Town & Durban (dependant on seasons)
Guided tours: available in comfortable coaches.
Self-drive:driving is on the left hand side of the road.Scenic drives are plentiful, with over 1600km of tarred roads linking all parts of the island.
