Day 1: Windhoek Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport you will be met, assisted with your car rental formalities and given any additional information that you may need. You will spend your first night in Namibia in a twin bedded room at the Olive Grove Guest House in the Windhoek City Centre, approximately a 45 minute drive from the airport. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 & 3: Okonjima Bush Camp After breakfast, get your first glimpse of Namibian scenery on a three hour drive of about 230 km (140 miles), which will take you to Okonjima Bush Camp. Get up close and personal with cheetah, leopard and other big cats over the next two nights. Accommodation is in a twin bedded thatched rondavel, and includes breakfast and dinner.
Day 4 & 5: Onguma Tented Camp The day begins with a 370 km (230 mile) drive of three to four hours to the birdwatchers paradise of Onguma Tented Camp. Situated on the border of the Etosha National Park and boasting a monitoring project on rare black rhino, the Camp offers plenty of attractions for the next two nights, including two guided nature walks. Accommodation is in a twin bedded tent and your stay is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 6: Ongava Game Reserve Spend the day on an extended game drive that will take you to Ongava Game Reserve. Your choice of accommodation for the night includes luxury rock and thatch chalets at Ongava Lodge or tented guest units at Andersson’s Camp. Your stay is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 7 & 8: Damaraland Situated on a mountain top among majestic boulders, Mowani Mountain Camp is your next stop. A distance of approximately 335 kms (210 miles), or five hours, from Ongava, the Camp offers viewings of elusive desert elephant and rare black rhino. Enjoy two nights in a room with a view in your twin bedded luxury safari tent. Your stay is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, including two guided nature walks that explore the magnificent desert scenery.
Day 9 & 10: Swakopmund The quaint seaside town of Swakopmund lies 330 kms (205 miles) distant, a drive of approximately five to six hours through the Namibian landscape. Explore the town and surroundings from your base at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre, where you will spend two nights in a twin bedded room, with breakfast included.
Day 11 & 12: NamibRand Nature Reserve Drive through scenic desert landscapes on your way to &BEYOND Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, set in the fascinating NamibRand Nature Reserve. Although the distance is only 380 kms (235 miles), plan on between five and six hours for the drive due to the terrain and to allow time for sightseeing.
Spend two nights at the Lodge in a desert villa built of natural rock. Your stay is on a full board basis, including activities within the NamibRand Nature Reserve). Daily adventures include scenic drives with an opportunity to encounter a variety of desert-adapted animals such as gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal. Guided walks and hiking trails are also available, as are guided quad bike trails on set paths through the dunes. A resident astronomer and high-powered telescope provide breathtaking views of the clear desert night skies.
Day 13: Departure Enjoy your last drive through Namibian scenery as you travel the 380 kms or 235 miles (five to six hours) to Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport to drop off your hired vehicle and end your trip.
