TREASURES OF TANZANIA
Day 1: Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a representative from &BEYOND and driven to Arusha Coffee Lodge.
You will spend one night in a chalet at the Lodge, which is situated on a coffee plantation and boasts spectacular views of nearby Mount Meru. Your stay is on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 & 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will take a short drive to Arusha Airport, where you will board a flight to Manyara Airstrip. A vehicle from &BEYOND Lake Manyara Tree Lodge will be waiting to take you to the Lodge. This scenic drive spans the entire length of Lake Manyara National Park and takes three and a half hours, giving guests plenty of opportunity to admire the breathtaking Rift Valley setting and encounter the rich wildlife.
Tucked away in a remote corner of this diverse park, you will spend two nights in stilted tree houses cradled in the boughs of an ancient mahogany forest. Two daily games drive take you along the flamingo-covered shores of the lake and into the depths of the park in search of abundant wildlife. Your stay is on a full board basis, including game drives and park fees.
Day 4, 5 & 6: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, another long game drive will take you to back to the airstrip, where you will board a flight to Grumeti, Klein’s or Serengeti Under Canvas Airstrip. From the airstrip, a short game drive will take you to the camp of your choice.
Spend three nights at your choice of the following:
• A thatched stone cottage nestled below the crest of the Kuka Hills at &BEYOND Klein’s Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including scheduled adventures and concession fees. Adventures include game drives and nature walks on the Klein’s Camp private concession. The afternoon game drives extend after sunset with the aid of a spotlight, returning to the camp after dark. Klein’s Camp community visits are available at an additional cost and may be booked directly at the lodge, subject to the availability of vehicles.
• A flamboyant tent on the banks of an oxbow lake formed on the famous Grumeti River at &BEYOND Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice daily game drives and park fees.
• A luxury tent at a wilderness campsite at Serengeti Under Canvas. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice daily game drives and park fees.
Day 7 & 8: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
After breakfast enjoy your last game drive in the Serengeti on route to the airstrip, where your flight to Manyara Airstrip will be waiting. From here, a two-hour drive will provide plenty of opportunity to explore new scenery on your way to &BEYOND Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
For the next two nights you will enjoy some of the most spectacular views on the African continent from your whimsical suite on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Your stay is on a full board basis, including one game drive on the Crater floor per day, as well as park fees. Additional adventures may be booked directly at the Lodge, subject to extra cost and availability of vehicles. Such adventures include excursions to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands, a visit to a Maasai village and walks at Empakai Crater. Massages are offered in your room for those who want to relax after a busy day’s game viewing.
Day 9: Arusha
After breakfast you drive back to Manyara Airstrip for a flight to Arusha Airport. From there, you will be chauffeured to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your safari will end.
The perfect way to end this itinerary would be with a few additional nights at &BEYOND Mnemba Island Lodge.
