Community Involvement: Tongwe Trust and Nomad Tanzania Trust raise funding for communities around Mahale, ensuring a balance of benefits to conservation and communities, many of whom operate as guides in the park Prohibition of entrants from fishing or forestry in the area protects spiritual heritage of the local community Ngorongoro Crater Lodge supports a local Masai community and guests can engage in iconic heritage through educational community visits guided by an elder of the clan.
