WALKING SAFARIS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Guest safety is our highest priority. Each Walking Safari begins with a comprehensive demonstration on how to behave when encountering animals on foot. CC Africa’s rangers undergo intensive specialised instruction at our Inkwazi Ranger Training School at Phinda Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. Guests are accompanied throughout by an armed ranger and experienced tracker.

SOUTH AFRICA WALKING SAFARIS

Walking safaris are ideal for families, groups and individuals, and our rangers will recount tales and the folklore of the area and the medicinal uses of various plants and trees. Whether observing a herd of elephant from a safe distance, tracking rhino or examining spiders, ant lions and dung beetles, the excitement is never far off. Dramatic night game-drives reveal the thrilling world of predators on the hunt. On a Walking Safari, the safety of guests is our highest priority and dangerous animals are avoided.

Reasonable levels of fitness are a prerequisite and distances depend on wildlife encounters. There are variations to the walking safaris we offer, from bush encounters to city-sights, but all with the intention of revealing the secrets only exposed on a close-up and personal encounter. There are usually set departure dates on walking safaris, and the accommodation sharing policies can differ from normal hotel and lodge stays. We pride ourselves in offering excellent, knowledgeable and experience-based advice and professional service. There are age restrictions on the walking safaris – the aim is to ensure optimum safety and guest enjoyment.

Discover more about South Africa’s habitats and ecology as you walk through the African bushveld. Walk up a hearty appetite for the delicious African cuisine synonymous with CC Africa.
